Rural Tourism House - "TER - Casa de Campo" Fully refurbished from a large traditional house, Casa de Almagreira allows you to discover and enjoy the peacefull surroundings of the island. The house is located in the traditional parish of Almagreira, just 2,5 km away from the beach, and not far from the main urban center of Vila do Porto (7 km). All has been taylored to provide a hi-stardard in confort. The house has 3 bedrooms (two couple beds and a double bedroom). Good terraces and all round garden allowing one to enjoy the outside spaces. Perfect for a hiking base or to discover the island by bicycle. The house has kayaks and snorkeling gear. Restaurants are mainly located in town, and there is a public bus running all day on the island. The house is thought as a very comfortable base to discover the island. Main activities in Santa Maria are diving related (whale sharks, and Manta Ray seeing), hiking and bird watching.
